About Our Groups

Joining the motherhood club can be an incredibly challenging and emotionally charged experience for many women. In an age dominated by social media, the pressure to present a picture-perfect life often intensifies these challenges. As new mothers navigate the demanding terrain of parenthood, they are bombarded with images of seemingly flawless mother-child relationships, immaculate homes, and boundless energy on their social media feeds. Witnessing these highlight reels while struggling behind the scenes can intensify feelings of inadequacy and isolation.

The disparity between these curated online portrayals and the messy, exhausting reality of early motherhood can be disheartening. Mothers may question their own capabilities, feeling as though they are the only ones facing sleepless nights, endless diaper changes, and overwhelming self-doubt. This discrepancy between perception and reality can lead to a profound sense of loneliness and alienation. However, it's crucial to recognize that these struggles are universal. The truth is that behind every picture-perfect Instagram post, there are moments of vulnerability, self-doubt, and exhaustion.

Acknowledging these shared challenges can help mothers realize that they are not alone in their struggles. It's okay to feel overwhelmed, tired, and imperfect, and it's okay to ask for help. By fostering open and honest conversations within support groups, women can find solace in the knowledge that their experiences are shared by others, breaking down the walls of isolation and fostering a sense of camaraderie. In these spaces, authenticity triumphs over the polished facades of social media, reminding every mother that her journey, with all its ups and downs, is both valid and worthy of support.

Our 'mom and me' group sessions are designed to help mothers navigate the struggles that come with a new baby. These sessions provide a positive and supportive environment where mothers can learn about and manage postpartum depression, anxiety and other challenges that accompany pregnancy and birth.
